First there was Hasslevania.
Next was Neil Peart: Mission- The Camera Eye.
Then there was The Outlaw, The Drunk, & The Whore.
And earlier this year there was Equin: The Lantern.
And now from DXF Games comes Weebish Mines, a game nothing like any of those at all

Hugely inspired by my personal favorite NES Game "Legacy of the Wizard", Weebish Mines follows the story of a family of 4 in their quest to enter a giant nearby dungeon to collect gems and money to pay for their sick pets' medical bills. Play as Del, P.P., Ness, or Bubs and swap them out at any time during your adventure back at the house. Buy supplies from the helpful but mysterious Uncle Mike at the surface store. Fight ninjas, goldfish, bats, knights, bears, dragons and much more along the way. Ride elevators and mine carts to travel to new and exciting levels of the joint!
Each character has their own default weapon and attack / defense stats. Aside from these, you'll be able to find or buy many different other items to help you out. Each item is divided into a color class of red, blue, or green. Not surprisingly, each of these is powered by gems you find of the same color- rubies, sapphires, or emeralds. Each character has their own bonuses to gem / item costs per use as well, for example Del has a +2 red bonus so using a red item would only cost him 1 ruby instead of the default cost of 3.
Here are some recent screenshots. Unlike Hasslevania 2 which has been long and ongoing since 2007, this one will #1) be completed and #2) be awesome so get ready!
