Scrolling text effect like the video game Buried: an interactive story

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

    Hey there!

    I am nearly complete with my first video game but I need help explaining the story of the game. I recently just saw the video game Buried. Its a simple interactive story video game.

    I absolutely love how text fades in on the screen and the text moves up with each new line of the text appearing.

    I know there just has to be a super easy way to do this but im not sure how it can be done?


    I am a student and new this engine.

    any step by step help would be most appreciated!

    Hey, get a program like Photoshop, Inkscape (free) or similar and create an image that is as wide as the screen and high as the text and vertically fade the opacity from 100 to 0. You can create it within Fusion, but it would take a long time as you can't make it fade like that without manually drawing the alpha channels. Then simply put the object above the text.

    If the background is a picture like in the example, the fading image must be exactly the same as the part of the image that covers the text.

    Ok,.I made a new example,.seems to be better. As I said, still not like the video above,.but it works. This one uses up and down graphics to move the text and selection buttons. Add some music,.and you got a scary story game.....
