I have seen these types of 2d game effects since forever but I have no clue (or just a tiny clue) on how to make these types of movements or their proper names in the world of 2D game programing. I can't seem to find any tutorials on how to implement this type of behavior in Fusion.

in this first one the enemy is built from about 8 sprites! It moves like a snake. Looks like some kind of dynamic IK chain... What is this even called in 2d game programing terms? I suppose you can fake it and use frames but it looks and moves dynamically. Any tutorials out there for Fusion?

This game is from the guys who made Oniken and Odallus in Fusion 2.5. He switched engines for his new game (GameMaker) but I'm sure you can do the same things in Fusion.
