Build 288.2 - Release version

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

  • Hello,

The build 288.2 is available. The update patch is available in the Download Links post in the "Support Forums / Product Owner's Lounge / Fusion 2.5" forum (or via the Help / Check for update menu in Fusion if you use an older build).

Please login to see this link.

In case of problem you can reinstall the build 288.1 or any other version (no need to uninstall first, just reinstall the patch of the build you want to reinstall).

If any problem with this version, please post it in the Please login to see this link., don't post it in this forum otherwise the developers won't see it, thanks!

PS: the CF 2.5 patch updates all the installed exporters, you do not need to reinstall them.

  • Bonjoir!

  • I just zoomed out in the frame editor, and I was like "what are all these dots?!...wow! It's the grid! It's finally here! Steam must have autoinstalled the new 288 version, and the grid is here!!" :D

There are some other great features here too (edit: actually, a LOT of great features - this is a really great update!). Those bookmarks are going to be super useful! Thanks!

btw, what's the difference between "add" and "insert"? Is it just a matter of whether it places the new action before/after where you clicked?

  • Olivier: thanks for the clarification

Hmm... I must read the notes better...
    Bookmarks ?

and the Grid... Wasn't that there already? is is that something new.. (guess I didn't noticed any difference)

The grid used to disappear whenever you zoomed out. Personally, it always used to drive me nuts.

Il y a effectivement des changements dans l'objet INI:

    Quote

    - INI object: now supports INI files embedded in Binary Data. When you run the application, if the INI file exists on the machine, the program uses it, otherwise it searches for it in the binary data. If it's in the binary data, the file is extracted to a temporary file until you try to write a value. In this case the INI file is copied from the temporary folder to the normal directory and the value is written. We've also added a new "Create INI file to AppData folder" option that is compatible with binary data, unlike the previous one that didn't support full pathnames (required for files in binary data in the Windows runtime). Make sure you select this option if you both want to read the initial INI file from the binary data and write values to the INI file in the AppData folder.

    French:

    Quote

  • I just went from 288.0 to 288.2. Does this version somehow reset game properties to some kind of "default" options? For example F2 restarts the app again, but I´ve changed this moths ago. I´m close to my kickstarter, so I can´t dig deeper at the moment, I´ll post in the bugbox when I´ve time and went back to 288.0 for now.

  • I don't see what you mean by "game properties". EDIT: is it settings you store in an INI object? There were changes in the INI object (Windows runtime), but it was in 288.0, I don't think there are any changes in this object in 288.1 or 288.2.

  • Would it be possible for future updates that when you're away from your computer at the point the update asks permission to close Fusion and install that it will

    (a) wait until you return to your computer
    or
    (b) save the patch and ask you to install it when you re-open Fusion?

So that I won't have to download the patch a 2nd time in order to install it?

Sorry for being unclear, like Perry said, I mean the shortcuts. F2 restarting the app stays active, when the "menu bar" checkbox is empty in the game´s property settings (but only in in editor mode, in standalone .exe this is not happening). This was different in earlier builds, but it may be intended. Anyway that´s just a minor thing to workaround (I´ve my own debugging shortcuts using the F-Keys, that´s the reason I noticed). I think 288.2 can be trusted :)

  • They added some new shortcuts, so if you had custom ones, they might be all reset to default.

edit: I see that you are talking about the finished EXE.. when you click on the File menu etc does it show which one is restart etc? and does it work through the menu? ( you might have to enable the bar, in case you had it disabled).
