How do I get current timestamp of a sound that is playing?

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

  • Hello, I've recently wondered how I would go about getting the current timestamp of a sound that is playing, specifically a song. My main intention is to be able to create a sort of rhythm game that uses the song position as a base for actions, is this possible at all?

  • Do you mean like getting the songs possition in milliseconds?
If this is the case you shoul easily be able to easily be able to get this info from an Action in the Event Editor.

There might be other Extencions or something being able to detect Bass and such, but im not sure.

How can i change username and display name?

  • That's what I thought, however I was looking for something that would be more framerate independent, as I have to set a counter and THEN find the current time, which completely ruins the game at low framerates.
