Falling Spike issue: Spike falling while player is under another object

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

  • A simple solution would be to make an invisible object that goes from the floor to the spike. Then you check if that object is overlapping the spike and the player.

  • I get the feeling you've just received two different answers to two questions that you didn't ask. If so, it's probably because your wording was pretty vague. The best will be if you upload an MFA, or at least be more elaborate.

    If I understand you correctly (maybe I don't): You can get a spike to fall, but you don't want it to fall when the player is being shielded by another object that's above her head. Is that right? And is your problem that the spike falls pointlessly and crashes into the shielding object, whereas you'd prefer that it didn't fall at all? Or is your problem that the spike is falling through the shielding object and killing the player, despite the player being supposedly protected? Or is your problem something else entirely?

  • I think he means that if he walks under a platform the spike shouldnt trigger.
