Users that cannot build with Android Studio (ant\build.xml error)

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

• Well, I solved my problem. As it turns out, I have two copies of MMF Dev. 2.5 installed. My original version that I purchased on a disc and a copy that I downloaded from Steam.
It turns out that they each had a different JDK file in the general tab of the Preferences. Once I made them match, everything works fine and I can generate my APKs again.
If anyone else gets a problem like mine, at least you guys will have an idea of what to look for now.
Thanks for all your time, patience and knowledge.
Sorry to be a pain.

• I have no Ant folder either there..
do you have Studio installed?
Is the path set correctly in the Fusion settings
What API do you use.
so you have mixed 32 & 64 bits installed?

Show the beginning of the log and the end of the log

• No Ant folder? I thought it was necessary since my error log mentions it :

===========
Buildfile: C:\Users\Administrateur\AppData\Local\Temp\And7BF2.tmp\build.xml
BUILD FAILED
C:\Users\Administrateur\AppData\Local\Temp\And7BF2.tmp\build.xml:84: Cannot find C:\Users\Administrateur\AppData\Local\Android\Sdk\tools\ant\build.xml imported from C:\Users\Administrateur\AppData\Local\Temp\And7BF2.tmp\build.xml
Total time: 0 seconds
===========

I don't have Android Studio installed, I uninstalled it.
The path in Fusion settings is the one I wrote above. Is there something more to do to "set up correctly"?
Here are my other settings: Build API: 24, Minimum Android version: 2.3 / 2.3.1 / 2.3.2, Target Android version 7.0
My system is 64 bits. Why do you think about a mixed installation?
Is the log the error log above? If not, where can I read it?

• Do you have Teamviewer?
I can remote in and take a look if you want.
PM me with the login and password

I know you cannot have mixed 32 and 64 bits for the SDK
I'm running the 32 bits versions

• DavidT I cannot respond to PM's since your account never got verified years ago.
Check your e-mail. if you e-mail is something like sun******a@o*****.fr then you should have it. if NOT then please update your e-mail address on your account, and verify your account.
That way I am able to respond to you :)

Thank you

• Sorry Perry, I changed my email address here and the confirmation request was in my spams, I only see it now and that's what blocked everything. Now I can PM you!

• Thank you for your help on Teamviewer Perry, now the build works ! I don't know why my computer is 32/64 bits mixed, I bought it already installed.

The .apk doesn't launch yet on my phone however (Fusion freezes) but it's another problem, I'm looking for knowing why.

• the test APK that I created is empty, so nothing will show.
If you try yours, make sure the names are filled out like com.david.mygame and the proper Android version is selected with the Min and Max set.
If you do it directly from your PC to your phone, it might be because of the mixup, or your phone is not in Developer Mode.
What you can do it just compile the APK file and copy it to your phone.
Personally I use Dropbox on my PC and phone.. so I can grab it from there on my phone.

• Is there any documentation on the exact components needed to build an APK? I'm assuming I don't actually need to download and decompress 30+gb of Android system images but since Google likes to pack multiple variants of the same thing into their packages, That's what' happening. I actually don't remember the file sizes even coming close to this previously I would very much love to trim the fat. Cutting out anything involving android wear seems like a given, am I safe to purge all x86 content? or will that cause build failures or compatibility issues on devices? If anyone knows, or knows where to find out, please let me know.

• I wonder if there is any way to convince them to bring back the Ant folder. The new Android Studio looked nice and I was really looking forward to using it, in addition to Fusion. That and it can be a real pain, trying to track down old versions of software. :\
