Frame Editor: pair backdrops or actives?

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

  • Ok, so I went the old route making my game a 16x16 fully tile based.
Say my tree is made of about 30 backdrop tiles.. these tiles are spread (named) after its category.. example: tree_trunk - tree_canopy_top, tree_canopy_bottom, etc, etc...
Now under the tree I have tall grass tiles...
Say I want to move only the tree in the editor... when I click to drag it will also drag the tall grass tiles.
I know I can manually select, but what I wish there was is: a way you could select and combine the tiles, giving it a ONE name (ex: apple tree) then when you wanted to click and drag, only the apple tree tiles would move.
I am almost sure there is not such a thing in MMF2 but have you guys heard if "pairing" will be in MMF3/Fusion3?
I just read Fusion 2.5 has pairing BUT only in event form! I'd like to do it within the editor to easily drag multiple tiles as ONE named entity locked together!

  • you can put them on different layers and lock some...
