Android Font Packer Not Displaying Custom Font On Mobile Device

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

  • I've tried everything but every time I export my game, the font is always basic.

    I unticked "use system fonts"
    I added the correct font "travelling_typewriter" to the properties in the font to pack section
    I added code in the event editor that says show packed font on startup for each frame that has text
    I am using clickteam developer

    What am I missing?

  • Hi, do you use the Traveling Typewriter font, designed by Carl Krull(free for personal use)?
    I tested the font and worked on my Android device(some letters are not optimal though, so you might try another font).
    Can you upload a mfa file with your settings?
    You can also try a simple shaped font I created for Android and see if that works.
    I send you the link if you want.

  • I emailed the author but I'm honestly just making the app for a university project, I'm not going to charge for it unless I do get the authors permission for commercial use. Its an FBI themed app so the font was perfect.

    I can't upload large mfa game projects on this site so I'll just send the first frame. I heavily edited it to make the 1MB limit.

    The ttf version(picture) works better than the otf font(I got the font package from dafont webpage).

  • THANK YOU!! I didn't know I wasn't using TFF font so I deleted my OTF font and got the TFF version. Fixed everything. I owe you so much!

    Now I gotta do is figure out how to make an unlocking system for the level selection screen of my game, will make a post about that later.
