Can I set the output of a camera as a texture?

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

  • Hi everyone. I just bought the Firefly DLC. You might be wondering from the title why I want to do this. Set the output of a camera to a texture that is. For a while now I've wanted to do a simulated computer, like in House Abandon (link to video bellow). However I don't want to just do text games. I'd like to creat some other style of games and place them in this kind of framing device. Or maybe being able to render the output form another frame using the sub-application?

Anyone know if it's possible to do something like this? Anyway, link to the video example is bellow.

  • yes its called render to texture - you need 2 engines and 2 cameras (or more) make one of your materials a render texture, and send the output of one engine to it.
