Make dialogue tree or speak with NPC

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

    I search forum and don't find an example . I want make a tree dialogue as Character speak with NPC for an adventure game.

    1) appear questions
    2) choose a question
    3) question appear in top of character head
    4) NPC answer to question
    5) go to 2 for another speak or go to 1 for another choose

    I'm appreciate for any help or example.

  • First thing that comes to my head is strings and click zones. When the questions appear, click on question and set NPC value to question (so say you have 3 questions, set the value to one two or three). Set value to make the question visible. So if value equals one, make answer to question one visible and set value to 0 when user clicks to display question again.

  • Thanks . But how can I do talk between two person (Player + NPC) for appear one by one as big length strings stay more than shorter one?

  • I created an NPC scripting example which would work well as a base for something like this. It would be pretty easy to expand on and add the multiple choice functionality to it. I can add this feature to it if you're interested in using it. (check it out in the examples section)

  • It's GREAT engine danworth . I really like it. But unfortunately I want it for mobiles and extensions doesn't work on Android and iOS. Is it possible improve it as extensionless ?
    I'm ready for buy it too in clickstore and so on.
    I think you have to remove Named variable object and Text blitter .
