Resolution Scaling behaving weird

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

  • Hello, I currently have been experimenting a problem with Clickteam that has confused me for months, and I've decided it's finally time I find out how to fix it. Let's say I set my window size to 1280X960, and then my frame size also to 1280X960. it should fit perfectly in the screen, however, it causes a very weird stretching of all the images and when I use the black bars option, there are very large bars for no reason and the screen is still stretched weirdly. What is causing this? I want perfect scaling in both fullscreen and windowed mode.

  • Could you post your MFA and/or a screenshot?

  • I made an application 1920x1080 and it sizes perfectly fullscreen on my window. If you click on your app in the properties window, I have these settings:

    - Unchecked heading
    - Checked maximize on boot-up
    - Unchecked menu bar
    - Keep screen ratio

I believe the header of the window and the menu bar also counts as part of your window which may affect it.

Obviously if your window and screen size is different than your monitor size, it will try to resize as best as possible assuming you have the "Change resolution mode" option checked. Make sure the "keep screen ratio" option is also checked so the screen doesn't get stretched.

There is an "ultimate fullscreen object" which I heard was pretty good at scaling games. You may want to check that out.
