Forum dead or unused?

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

  • Hi, I'm someone who is looking at buying some software to make/remake 1980's arcade games.
    ie dig dug, asteroids, phoenix.

After some research online I have my choices down to Fusion, gms 2 and gdevelop (which is free)

Fusion looks good from what I can see, however the forum from having a look, seems to be rather quite and pretty much dead?

is this its normal state or are the users winding down to get ready for the next version?
Fusion looks better than gdevelop to me but I need somewhere that has a good user base and a very well used forums where I can discuss the software and keep asking for help as I learn to use it. lol

From what I've seen, the gms forum is far more active and supported than fusion is, I'm just wondering if this is the normal state of things or it's just in a 'lull' right now?

(no offense intended towards the software or the devs btw, I just want to buy somewhere where I know there is very good user support)

  • That's a great way to get help by dissing the forum in your first post!! ;)

Remember it's August and things do quieten down when everyone's away on their hols.

I can vouch personally that the Clickteam Community is very active indeed and has helped me on so many occasions with very quick responses to solving my queries.

  • The forum has years and years of knowledge and answers to your programming queries. All you have to do is put 'Clickteam' followed by your question in Google and more often than not you will find your answer. You can use the forum advanced search facility too.

If you can't find the answer to your problem, just ask in the forum, it's full of friendly and helpful people who will go out of their way to help.

  • Also, you're right, the forum is a bit quieter now, but this is probably because of the new Please login to see this link., which is a faster way to get questions answered and to just chat. :D

  • There are tons of videos on Youtube, and if you don't know something, just ask if you can't find the answer.
Most people are checking daily (I am checking like 19/7 (the rest is sleeping lol) so there is always someone who can help you.
And if it's urgent, you can always PM me or someone else. That way the person will get notified right away that there is a PM.

There are people who are more specialist in certain items than others. Most of the time you can see by the persons badge what product they have, and knows about it.

Nivram had also an GREAT library with examples on his website, which helped me a lot in the beginning.

And then the AlmightyzenTaco : Please login to see this link.
and his Youtube channel.. He explains clearly a lot of things, and has awesome examples too.

So Fusion and Forum is not Dead.. I am releasing Monthly a new game for IOS/Android. for over the last 3 years, and major projects will take longer :)
You will be surprised how many games are on the market #MadeWithFusion :)

  • I always considered this to be one of the most helpful communities out there. It's been alive for ages with no signs of dying out anytime soon, especially with Fusion 3 on the way. If you make your question as clear as possible you'll usually have an answer/solution within minutes to a few hours.
