I've seen a few other threads discussing this same topic but they didn't go anywhere.
I am looking for an extension to get values / data from the user's audio input device (microphone). I am wanting to do this on the desktop, not on Android or iOS.
I've heard people talk about the MCI object, but I have no clue how to use it.
Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

That object doesn't exist for me. Could you upload it here or link me to it please? As it is no longer in the download manager.

I made an extension to enumerate input devices for pc. But that's all it does if that's any use.
