Layers not working for order/hierarchy

Hello all, I am currently dealing with a problem where no matter what I do the aim object is always below certain objects. Should placing the cursor on the highest layer not put the cursor above every other object? I also have a bunch of order conditions that are not making a difference.

Is not the Cursor Object a Windows function? This would explain your problem.

oh sorry its just an object, that is the player aim. No extension

Please login to see this link., here's a stripped down version, it can be fixed by placing the aim on a higher layer but it should work even without which it doesn't.

In line 2 you create the Aim at 0,0 from group.player.
group.player is at layer 1, so the Aim will be created at layer 1.

It doesn't matter that Aim is set to Bring to front. Everything in layer 2 or higher will be above it.

You could edit the create event and select the layer you want it to show up on.
