Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.
A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.
Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!
Time for some more updates before it get's submitted.
Pause added Facehuggers are now in level 2 50% done Mandatory splash screen added (really wish I hadn't chose 112x63 as the resolution now lol) Health packs added
Working hard on building upon the original small Gamejam concept as it didn't do too badly in the competition.
Here is what's coming in the next update:
You are alerted when enemies are near now both via a beeper and a green glow that pulsates behind you.
The action has been zoomed out a little as a major issue seemed to be that the player was too large for most, the resolution has gone from 112x63 to 144x81 which has made the UI a little less busy.
changes to level design including having the bins and other objects as jump through platforms, also more lockers added so you can dodge enemies easier.
Only feedback i have right now is that it's too dark, especially infront of the player. Maybe you can make the lightbox more of an oval so it stretches infront of the player so you can see just a little bit more.
Thanks for the feedback, happy to make that adjustment, I'll maybe experiment with making it a torchlight that points in the direction your character is in. At the moment just adding more polish and quotes to the nameless marine.
I have now found a solution to the flashlight size issue.
The flashlight will remain small, however when an Alien is nearby a green light pulses around the character and the field of view is expanded in both directions, once the light goes out the flash light goes to the original size, you could already fire your gun to expand the field of view too. You can kind of see it below:

Just finished adding moving platforms, ladders and better textures as above coming soon.
Ladders turned out to be a rather large pain to implement but finally added them now and thought it was time to show them off in this new progress video i've done.
As i'm still working on it you will see things like counters and objects that won't see when it's finished.
still plugging away on Alien Scumbags, added in lots of effects like smoke from the doors, score tally UI and just tonight added in some wall patterns/textures.
Higher resolution making the action less zoomed in Silly voice acting ladders new enemies light size changes depending if enemies or ladders are nearby Lots of bug fixes More levels Moving Platforms Score Tally Secret objects to collect -------------------------------------
Not sure what's coming next but certainly want to keep working on it as having loads of fun with this little project.
I realised that spamming the space key to kill enemies with the Pistol and having unlimited ammo took away the challenge/survival element.
Added a reloading function last night for the pistol to make it a bit more tense, you still have unlimited ammo for the Pistol but it only has 6 shots before it auto reloads which takes about 1-2 seconds, it makes the aliens far more deadly.
To add to the above I have also increased the path for all aliens, if an alien touches a box it turns around but once the box is removed the alien will walk the whole floor making them far more deadly.
Once again increased the size of the light as I know this has been a bit of issue for most players.
Me and Stu came up with some new ideas last night which will be in the next update, we hope you like them.
In the next update you will be able to collect icons/power ups (Not sure what they will look like yet) which will enhance your standard pistol giving you a larger cartridge with the full upgrade doubling your ammo to 12 shots, as you upgrade your pistol the look of it changes too.
Finally the one we are most happy with is the power up which doubles the speed of your character and gives you unlimited shotgun shells for 10 seconds without the need to reload after each shot.
Below is a video of the new mechanics in action.
