setting up JDK, android SDK - current instructions and links... ?

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

  • So i found a link to a file called installer_r24.4.1-windows.exe which installed the android SDK and familliar sdk manager -Please login to see this link.

this made the Fusion android checker happy, but it may be that the self installing version of the android SDK is gone, along with the sdk manager?

will follow up as I continue.

How would one install this from the files with no installer?

  • I was just trying to migrate to a new computer myself last night and was struggling with this as well. Couldn't find the appropriate path to satisfy the android exporter. I installed the Android Studio.
Curious to see how this evolves.

  • You can find a Quick Start Guide here:

If you paste the folder path for jdk and sdk files in Fusion settings, there might be a whitespace at the beginning of each path - check this and remove the whitespace.

  • Sorry, been on the road...
so I got everything installed (JDK [32&64], Android SDK manager - per links above)
built a (blank) test .apk - assumed i would get some build error. I did:

    Unable to resolve target 'android-XX'

used the Android SDK manager to load:
    android SDK build tools 22.0.1
    Android 5.1.1 (API 22)
    SDK platform
sources for Android SDKPlease login to see this attachment. Please login to see this attachment.

I seem to recall from the past that the build tools has to "match" the API, in this case 22 - when i did 27/27 no worky, same for 26/26
    building works now.

I don't know what set(s) work, but 22 seems to. i will likely check some other sets.

checking the steam page supplied by Wodjanoi (thanks!)- it seems you could download the (large) Android SDK platform package, then perhaps only install the SDK manager from that...
it also shows how/where to put the Android SDK files if you do it yourself. - I does like the SDKmanager, it makes it easy to see what's what
