If changes in the "event list" view variables directly, this method is good, it's so convenient and intuitive ~ ~ ~

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.
A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.
Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

It's probably too late for suggestions, but:
It would save a lot of time if you could change all variables directly in the Event List view without having to open the Expression Editor.
Something like this:
Please login to see this picture.
(Of course there should be both options)+1 what a great idea!
-
Sorry but we're not taking suggestions any longer.
-
Such a shame, it's really a great idea!
But we can expect F3 is almost finish if you're not taking suggestions -
No, us not taking suggestions is not a comment on how complete F3 is or is not... It is simply based on the fact that we've had over 7 years of taking suggestions for F3 now and if we keep on taking suggestions and making changes, it will never be completed. So please anyone reading this do not read anything more than what I've just said into it.

It is a great idea until you realize that it might cause issues with how the TAB key works in the normal flow of things. I honestly try to avoid incorporating too much fine mouse control when navigating the ELE, if I can help it. Especially when I need to input text. The idea is nice, but it sounds like it would create a secondary input mode where TAB would only operate between conditions/actions in a single event line. Then you would need a way to TAB back out into the macro mode of all event lines. So many things to consider...
-
A good point, it's so important not to break UI logic to keep software user friendly and reduce the learning curve/niggles.
-
Yeah it was just a spontaneous idea.
Also, I watched the Fusion 3 Event Editor video again and noticed that Clickteam seems to have already a solution for this:

I think the reality is going to be that Clickteam will do their best to plan out a good workflow. Then after a few months of serious use, the community will make suggestions on how to improve it. Maybe this will happen in a Beta phase, maybe not. But I am sure whatever we end up with will be just as great as CF2.5
-
Yeah I do have to question why people are giving ideas out still when they know that post-release those ideas might not even factor in the new workflows, the ideas might not even be relevant anymore. But I mean the ideal is that the workflow is robust enough that we can add our own things to it. So far even with Fusion 2.5 I've been able to do that, so I don't see how Fusion 3 will be any different.
This is why I'm liking the ideas they've put out already with regards to extension development. I'm truly hoping we can finally do away with 3rd party compilers.
-
MrCyberpunk what do you mean by external compilers? XCode on Mac for example?
-
No I meant the requirement for Visual Studio. The extension SDK was designed for an ancient version of it. So something that replaces it or updates it is very welcome.
-
I thought EDIF was updated to work with modern VS?
-
It is recognised by modern VS I've just run into issues converting code over, I don't have any such issues with older versions of VS. But the ideal would be just to build extensions straight out of fusion itself.
-
*sigh*
I log in almost every day in hopes that... well, you know. Hope everyone is doing well.
-
Don't expect an announcement particularly soon would be my advice at this point. We are still upgrading and improving Fusion 2.5 all the time and whilst I know that everyone (myself included) is excited (to say the least!) for Fusion 3, I would remind you all that Fusion 2.5 is an incredibly able and powerful engine and to focus your efforts there.
I've seen quite a few people around the web advising people not to buy F2.5 or not to start a project in F2.5 because Fusion 3 is just around the corner - I would reiterate that as a company we do not agree with eitger statement and urge everyone to get stuck in using Fusion 2.5. We're seeing more and more professional grade projects developed in F2.5 coming to fruition right now so it's clearly up to the task!
-
At the beginning of the year I estimated we would not see anything until 4th quarter 2018 … MAYBE … close to Christmas time. Could be end of 2019 … who knows.
Clickteam undertook a difficult task.
-
As a followup to my post I have to say I fully agree with Simon's comment. I have been pleased to see the positive changes Clickteam has made in hiring new programming staff, providing better tutorial content, improving the website, and upgrading Fusion 2.5. All of this while creating Fusion 3. Thank you Clickteam for a wonderful set of products.

Just give me better multiplayer, and switch export to Fusion2.5
camera feature would be a nice add on as well, i mean true camera that can do crossplatform zoom.I love Fusion 2.5, it's very powerful, but it's 2018, f2.5 is outdated compared to the competition (yes, I tried and paid for most of them),
f2.5 is better than most, and handles couple features excellently, but yeah, the way it looks and feel, the limitations, and the way tech is going... Fusion3 is the Answer, Fusion3 all the Way! -
We are most likely not going to release a Switch exporter due to various complexities places on the process by Nintendo (same can be said for other exporters) but have instead set up Clickteam Professional Services to handle game publishing, console porting and more.
The cross-platform zoom probably won't be solved for all exporters I'm afraid. I accept that F25's looks are quite dated but I totally reject this as a provlep, it's purely cosmetic. F3 will have a more modern UI but F25 is no less powerful for having a dated one.
