MMF2.5 Is extension development dying out?

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

  • The main reason is that there are already plenty of extensions which fulfill people's needs right now. Additionally, [MENTION=9754]Phi[/MENTION] is still actively developing extensions and extension SDKs. It would be unusual to see many more extensions though considering how many there are already.

  • Um...I think you are missing my point LB. Overall I have noticed a slow down. Also, there are a number of new platforms (OS'S) being exported to so you would expect to see more extensions specific to them also.

    Also, some of the extensions need to be updated to work correctly. Example:

    Activex: Only partly works as confirmed with Yves some time ago and never updated.
    Print: Only partly works and hard to control print out parameters like margin control, headers etc... for printing forms or reports on game stats. Again confirmed with Yves some time ago and never updated.

    I am not trying to be critical.

  • The overall slowdown is because most things people want have been made into extensions already. I am still doing extensions as well. I am finishing up a 3d extension for html5.
