Pathfinding extension, collision with object groups not the backdrop object

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

  • Hi there, anyone how to create cells when an object of a certain group is detected, instead of using the standard obstacle backdrops i want to use the obstacle group. I am using the standard pathfinding extension and just looking at the example file: pathfinding tutorial - Jeu

    Thanks so much.

  • If you are talking about the same extension im using you can use qualifiers to mark obstacle areas when creating your path map. But hard to say without seeing any code.

  • Yes, I've finally figured it out, you can map out zones with qualifiers, thanks, see lines 29 and 30 if you are wondering :). My current solution works perfectly except for when you create enemies not at runtime, they seem to group as one and follow each other?? If you press space you can see that they do not behave the same as the enemies that are initially spawned in at the start of the frame.

    Help would be much appreciated!
