Problem with Visual Studio on Xbox

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

  • Hello, I compiled the app from fusion, I followed the information in the help file but I unfortunately I always face the error below.

  • can you show the minimum and maximum target you set in your development?

    and what you have installed in your Visual studio?

    seems that one numbers is off.

    to do this a simple way is to create a blank UAP and then you can see which are installed in your PC

  • Sorry guys but the UWP exporter is broken... The xbox is not working; you cannot make the application available to xbox due to the erroneous xbox connect extension. Now it doesn't work with Visual Stuio 2017. I reinstalled the VS and the problem remains. :(

  • Yes, of course. Notice that the uwp exporter was working on xbox one until recently, even a clickteam employee sent me an xbox connect object to test last summer in order to release my game on the xbox store. Suddenly it stopped... Can you please help with the specific error? I read the error explanations online but I can't figure out how to fix the problem.

  • the problme that is shown is that the value target you set does not exist

    it mention that teh application you have is compatible with

    UAP 10.0.16299.0 but instead you set in

    2377 that number is correct you need to check inside UWP properties in min and target build number, there you need to check.

    the images you are showing me, the only need is the dialog box (other are NET Framework which is not the one used by UWP) back to dialog

    it also mention that the version target you have is 17134, did you set this value in target inside fusion editor?


  • Fernando the problem remains and it's a problem with the UWP exporter. I've tried it with different computers, with clean installations of Visual Studio and Fusion. Always the same problem appears! I have the UWP and I've already released an app on windows with it. It's the first that problem appears. I need Clickteam's help because I want to update my Windows app and I cannot. I also added two new screenshots to help you.

  • i don't understand why this is happening unless you have not specifically isntalled the UWP core in your visual studio.

    can you check using visual studio installer you have correctly installed the UWP core for javascript

    1.- run visual studio installer

    2.- press modify button, wait until it show the dialog

    3.- search for UWP development is check

    4.- select Individual components

    At last! I've managed to run it in Xbox one. My feedback below to share it with the rest of the people here.

    1. The individual components were exactly the same with the ones you mentioned.
    2. I had errors when I tried to deploy/build in exFAT drives. Prefer NTFS ones.
    3. Always add the config file.
    4. Min/Targeted use only 10240!!! Everything else fails.

    It would be great if you could add them in the help file in Fusion.
