How To Remove Clickteam Fusion 2.5 HTML 5 Template Message? (Also border!)

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

It's really, really annoying. Even though I removed it, the border, which is the grey one, still there. Pretty annoying. Especially on Kongregate. I paid for this exporter, dammit! At least put the option to remove that thing!

  • Hello , I see that your avatar wears a tiara , so maybe it indicates that you're a very important person that is used to being obeyed at the slightest order. This could explain such words as "dammit" and the repetition of "annoying". Then it finishes with an order :"put the option…" No such words as please , which could really help to make people want to help you…
Well this is the start of the year and I'm glad to help if I can.
The html plugin generates a "index.html" file which embeds your app.
If you open with file with notepad or notepad++ or a html editor , the clickteam "template" message appears at the very bottom of the file. Unless I'm mistaken , you can safely remove the part that bothers you and you should be fine. You can remove this line :
<p align="center">Clickteam Fusion Developer 2.5 HTML5 template. Please use final build for distribution.</p>
However , if you don't have the developer version, you must keep the clickteam logo. See the license for details.
Concerning the border , I'm not sure but maybe you can modify this directly in the html file also.
Be careful when removing lines from the html file of course :)
I hope this helped ! I'm not a staff member , so concerning the terms of the license agreement ( logo , etc ) you could send an email to Clickteam.

  • Thanks and sorry for that really rude post. I just annoyed that I can't remove those. I paid for it. Not like I take it as a pirated exporter. Anyway, like I said, the text CAN be removed but the border... I still can't figure it out. Thanks though!

  • Check the application property "Resize display to fill window size" (see App Properties > Window). Optionally also check "Fit inside (black bars)" and "Anti-aliasing when resizing".

For more information you can check the Help > Distributing your application > HTML5 application.

  • How do you remove the message at the bottom, remove the logo, remove the purple border, and change the background color on the page?
I tried to remove the information in the index file, but it just ended up showing a bunch of random text at the bottom of the page.

I don't want to fit to window because it seems to degrade the graphics even with the anti-aliasing. I am specifically targeting 1920x1080 screens and I have already worked out dimensions that will work for me.

    Thanks

  • Ok, took care of everything but the color of the padding around the canvas. How do you change that?

    Thanks.

Also, the browser tab says Clickteam Fusion developer 2.5 on it. How do I change that?

So if i undertsand right this post, people wants to make HTML5 games but know Nothing about standard HTLM. As an HTML5 must be uploaded on a FTP and you need a bit of HTML knowledge to make a cool page to display your game, where do you think you're going if you Don't know how to edit a simple HTML page?

Everything is in the code of this HTML page, if not there is also a CSS file that handle sizes, colors, etc.. You should start to learn a bit of HTML Standard if you really want to share a HTML5 game.

  • The HTML template was created so you can see how to wrap your games within a container through HTML and display HTML around your game. If you don't want it, just remove the correct HTML code (or do as Olivier said). Nobody is forcing you to display the Clickteam Logo or text that surrounds your developments.

  • I'm not looking for lectures, just answers. It's not that I can't figure it out, but why spend time trying to figure it out if someone simply has the answer. If you don't know, don't bother responding.

If you open (after building) index.html file in notepad - there will be a #border section (with background-color: #99C; and etc) Put border from 1px to 0 px and padding from 5px to 0px. If you want remove text (bottom message) - there will be #p section. Just add "display: none;" To change the WHOLE background color - experiment with adding "background-color: #fff;" to the WHOLE #body section.

  • Hi Marat,

    Thanks for responding.
I did end up figuring it out.

It's too bad though. I use Storyline at work and Fusion could run circles around it when it comes to creating interactivity. But, these are the types of things that make it impossible to suggest Fusion as an option. I can't even just drop in mp4s. This company has so much potential and there are so many possible uses for it, but they never finish things enough that the masses can produce end products with it. I'm a major fanboy of Clickteam and I really want them to win. I hope they merge with someone to get the resources to carry out their vision.
