>>>Help. Using a multitouch...

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

  • I'm trying to use a multitouch object. In my example there are two lines and two circles that need to be draggable (by touch of course) along those lines simultaneously. But the second (right one) - behaves weird. Can anyone of you guys take a look into conditions and say wth is wrong.

  • I just keep getting errors message that there's a font missing which makes the .mfa hard to check - also you might be using 2.5+ which I don't have.

I assume you mean that Fusion must treat Touch 0 as the touch on the left ball and Touch 1 as the touch on the right ball - but it doesn't work like that - that's why you're getting odd behaviour.

You can deactivate the one group when the other is active - and then activate it again when the touch is released (which won't work for simultaneous).

Or use values to control what's active - for example only test the inactive condition of ball1 if drag of ball2 = 0 (but in the example you gave, it's never reset again - so it always remains = 1.)

Edit: There's a few problems with your example, it would probably be better just to ask for help on how to drag 2 objects at the same time. I haven't tried that myself yet - so don't know.

  • Attached is an example of 2 objects that can be moved at the same time using the multi-touch object (without using physics).

For it to work you have to touch the ball on the left first.

However, although this works fine on my PC - which is touchscreen - I tried it on my cell phone an it didn't work very well there.

  • Strange - i put a reply to you on your firts comment but now i see it's not here. Anyway (what i said in it) - right, i have a 2.5 dev. About your example - first ball moving by mouse, but the second doesn't seem to. Well i was trying solve my issue thru this day and i think i've a solution, but not sure totally for now. And now you've brought a little dilemma to my mind because initially my goal was to deply a PC touchscreen version. hmm. I'll keep try&test)
EDIT: Forgot to thank you very much)

  • I downloaded the font and installed it trying to help you, but to no avail. I kept seeing blahblahblah.font can't be found. I assume this is do to your mfa being in russian.

Anyway, I typically just associate Touch inputs with Mouse clicks. Android understands mouse clicks and considers your touch inputs as such.

Sorry I couldn't help out more.

    I.E.
    Single touch = left click
    Double Touch = Right
Slide = Mouse wheel up or down
    Zoom = CTRL+Mouse WHeel
