Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

  • These days I have been thinking about an old post about Fusion 3 development called "The Art of Strings", while looking at the fonts when the screen is enlarged to fit a larger resolution.
The article is very interesting and explains the current way Fusion is handling the rendering of strings and what was/is in development. If you haven't seen, it is worth the read, just search for "Art of Strings: Please login to see this link.

Currently I'm working on 1366x768 on a 1920x1080 monitor and using Ultimate Full Screen object to enlarge it. Here is what I'm getting:

Looks like the reason for it, is that with the 1px 1 unit system, the current anti-aliasing of the fonts becomes blocky when the screen is enlarged especially on thin or round parts of the fonts. So my question is: Is there a clever workaround for this, such as change the font size based on resolution of monitor, if in full screen or windowed...?

On a side note/suggestion, since Clickteam released many goodies from F3 already in the 2.5+ DLC, here goes my suggestion to release a DLC in the future, like "Fusion Text PRO", with what was/is in the works regarding the fonts? We could even...

NOOoOOOOOOooOoooOooo!!!!!!!!!!!! NO more 'DLC'! We need Fusion 3 at this point! Unless said DLC also makes Fusion's coordinate system work in sub-pixels.... *without having to use tempVars :)

YeeeEEEEeeeeeeEEEeEEEeeeEEsss!!!!!! A DLC with Fusion 3 features is better than nothing at all. :)

  • F3 was supposed to be released two years ago. CT does not provide any new updates on F3 progress. To be really honest, I don't believe that CT will release a Fusion 3 product. In my opinion, they saw the opportunity to be themselves game publishers for ps4/switch games. If that effort succeeds I do not believe that they will release a new tool rather a new dlc for fusion 2.5 or a fusion 3 with fewer features. If they fail with the publishing then they might consider a full feature F3 product release.

  • So, the topic itself is not about speculation on Fusion 3. It is about a feature that seemed to be already developed and under Clickteam's hub. It mentioned the Fusion 3 post because it explains beautifully what the current problem is and where they were heading.
Clickteam Fusion served me well over the years, the 2.5+ DLC is a marvelous and well worth addition. If DLC format updates makes financial sense for Clickteam, so much better.
Back on topic, there is a genuine question on the first post (who knows, there are so many smart Clickers around) to work around this pixelating issue on fonts.
