Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.
A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.
Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

Are you needing to display text from a .txt or .ini file?
Are you intending to be able to stretch the image or text within your app? Or stretch/expand the window for your app?
Do you want to display the text with a system font, or use whatever fonts you have a license for and display them as an image?

Hi Xhadoe
I need text pages in my app. thougt maybe there is a way to copy and paste text in a text box, so you can read the text while the app is running.
and also stretch the text or a pic with your fingers on the display while the app is running.
System font are ok for me. -
Is there a reason the String object isn't working for you? Because you can copy and paste text into it?
I'd recommend you put your font large enough to read on a cell phone rather than try to get people to zoom in if they want it larger - but have a look at the multi-touch object, it has certain gestures in it.
-
Thank you Janette5.
In the meantime I used the string object, 18 and fat, it is still a bit small on the phone.
I hoped someone would give me a small example for pinch to zoom..........
because I have to finish the app before monday. It is a Menu for friends who have a small restaurant in spain.
Due to the Corona crisis it is beter not to use a menu in a book or card. -
I would recommend they put it on their website - people don't want to download apps just for a menu - but browsing to a website is not a problem.
Here is a small example - Option A - they click a button to enlarge.
Option B - they pinch the screen to enlarge. The odd way I'm using global values is simply to block the lines from running one after the other i.e. I'm putting a stop in it. Depends on what other objects you have - you could use a flag instead.

Oh thank you so much.
And if they download from the playstore do you think that would be a problem?.
Maybe they can put it on facebook, I don't know facebook and I don't want to have it. -
The Playstore is only for Android devices. So if someone has an Iphone they won't be able to download it or see it. (Or if they don't have a smart phone.)
Facebook is painful unless you're a member because they pop up banners over the text to tell you to join or login - as does Twitter.
But they could probably get a free Wordpress site and hosting for a basic menu at Wordpress - modifying those template websites is quite easy - you'll probably find one for a restaurant already created.
-
Yes you are right. They put it at facebook
Thank you for the help. -
