Image editor is acting odd now

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

  • So whenever I select anything in the image editor I am getting a weird glitch to where the background of the selected area is colored. Here is a screenshot. Also if I move the selected image it leaves behind a shadow.

Here is a video actually showing it in action

  • That selection box was created to adjust the transparency of the image - when you select an object it shows either the original colour of the transparent bit, or an outline over the transparency when there's a lot of semi-transparent edges. It's so that you can change the colour of the transparency.

Dragging a part of the picture away leaves - in my case - a white outline where the colour was - in your case it leaves a black outline.

This is I think is a design feature to do with the transparency and masks etc.

The picture editor doesn't have a lot of features in it.

However, you can set the hot spot - when you create an object then it is created at the x and y of the hot spot - so if you have a sequence of images and they're not all the same size then choosing a hot spot at the centre of mass would make them all line up correctly for the animation. You can adjust any images that are out of alignment by moving the hot spot. (For a quick move to the centre of mass - hit the little eye icon to see the hot spot - and then select "C" next to the Quick Move panel.)
