edit box on Mac won't accept backspace with legal letter verification?

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

    This is something weird I'm noticing. I tested the editbox alone and it works fine on Mac. But when I use popcorn's legal letter verification so characters like # , $ ,% are not acceptable, it doesn't accept backspace but it works just fine on Windows. Could it be something specific to Mac system or the way editbox was ported?
