Build 293.1 - Release version

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

• Hello,

The build 293.1 is available.

Please login to see this link.

Not a ton of fixes in this version, as we focused on ground work on the runtime to reduce the risk of false positives incorrectly reported by some anti-virus programs. We'll try to release a beta with more fixes asap.

Note: this version has a new "Unpacked EXE" option in the Windows tab in the application properties. If this option is selected, DLL's and extension files are copied to a Modules sub-directory (you can change the name), and the app data are saved to a .DAT file with the same name as the EXE, this may reduce a bit the risk of false positive. You can use this option if you get false positives in the future and don't need a single EXE without other files. However the best and most secure solution to avoid false positives is signing your EXE with a code signing certificate (not free), and not use this option so that your app data is signed too.

If any issue specific to this build, please post it here, thanks!

In case of problem you can reinstall any other version (no need to uninstall first, just reinstall the patch of the build you want to reinstall).

PS: the CF 2.5 patch updates all the installed exporters, as well as the 2.5+ DLC, you do not need to reinstall them.

Thanks!

• This looks really promising, even without using the Unpacked option:

I just rebuilt a larger project with multiple extensions and a smaller one with only a few extensions. On virus total they were both deemed clean by all tools except for "Bkav" who thinks there is a W32.AIDetectVM.malware2 virus.

As long as the majority and the popular brands are fine with the new builds then I am too :) Great improvement!

OK :) Don't use Virustotal too much though, I wonder if it might have been part of the problem, as you don't mention if you think it's a virus or a false positive when you send them a file and those files are used by the anti-virus community...

• Well, I hope these false positive issue ends now, so Clickteam can work on new features (and F3 of course)
I was testing stuff here, and there's one thing that I think it would be super useful but I don't know how hard it would be to add...
A while ago I got this idea of using CCN (subapps) as game DLCs, so people can download separately, or even update small parts of the game without downloading the whole exe... (I know Install Creator can do small updates but I'm talking about modularity)

So basically what it needs:
-Global events from the main app working inside the CCN subapp (I guess the other way around would make it way harder, so this is good enough, unless it manages to merge both, or perhaps adding something like Event Order, for example selecting if subapp events or main app events runs first)
-Global objects between main and CCN subapp (since it sync with same name and type OR identical, it doesn't sound impossible, sharing variables would also be useful)

Would this be possible?
I really think this kind modularity would make CCN way more useful
Perhaps there could be a new way of loading CCN, in a way that makes it easier to integrate with the main events, perhaps as an alternative selecting it on the frame properties (or through events, going to a temporary frame that only loads the subapp) without the actual object of subapp

• Yves Same as before, As I try to build an EXE file, Avast says that it removed the SDRT.exe file because infected by Win32:MalwareX-gen.
Avast also removed the uprt.exe file because infected by Win32:MalwareX-gen. :(

Nice, they were quick... it was fine for a few days and they flag it less than 24 hours after the release. I'm getting tired of them, seriously. I've submitted them the runtime files as false positive and if it's not enough I'll ask to talk to someone in charge...

• I've tried to built the EXE with Unpacked option. But, the Avast has detected the EXE as "Win32:MalwareX-gen [Trj]".
I don't know how to clear up their misunderstanding...
Thanks for hardwork.

I've submitted them the files, but (1) they make take a few days to fix it, (2) if they don't fix it within 2 days I'll contact them.

• I don't know if this can help, but it seems to be a good tool to test False positive issues. It's the link i've got from the Steam team about my app (build with v292.29):

Please login to see this link.

I've sent the new version built with v293.1 and i'm waiting for Steam review.
