Trying to optimize a frame in my game

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

  • Hello, I've recently released a fnaf fangame on gamejolt, and while I noticed slower performance in this frame compared to the rest of the game, it wasn't that noticeable for me. However, other users report more extreme differences. Would someone be willingly to help me try to optimize this section of the game? The rest runs smooth, and I'm not experienced with optimization? Any help would be much appreciated.

If someone decides to help then I will supply them an mfa with the laggy frame and a normal frame to compare, I don't wanna post anything until then for obvious reasons.

  • I can't really help test however have you tried disabling groups of events you don't need (or don't use often) on that particular frame? Like if you have a complicated inventory screen you don't need that constantly running in the background all the time for example.

I'm definitely not an optimization pro but I've been able to reduce slowdown on some of my projects by doing this.

  • It's impossible to help you without actually seeing anything or hearing what's triggering the slow, but Please login to see this link..

If it's frame specific it can be that the assets in that frame are heavy, you are generating objects at a more rapid pace or you are checking for certain actions too often.
