new "load animation" and "preload image"

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

  • Loading animations allows you to import animations into an active object that are externally stored, like on a folder on your application's directory. They load almost instantly.
To create an animation file, you first need to create an animation, then export it using the save option, checking the last exporting option for ANM files. Once you save them, you can make an active object with some default image, and load the animation in at the start of the frame. Best thing of all is that it exports the entire thing, so yes, you can tell it to change animations, and it will change to that animation.
This means that you can make the application's size way smaller and easier to run using this feature.

As for "preload image", it just loads an image that could be used for the active image object BEFORE it's even displayed, so that there's no small lag or loading when you call for the image to appear onscreen.
