Need help converting Flash Games to HTML5

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

  • Hello -

I am a former Fusion Developer user back after a long hiatus.

With the discontinuation of Adobe Flash, I was wanting to convert some of my games to HTML5.

The trouble is, when I loaded Fusion on my new computer, some of the flash extensions used to create the original games are no longer available, so I cannot even open the mfa files now.

I had a similar problem with some old games that had mochi extensions imbedded in them (when mochi went dark, the mfas could no longer be opened).

Is there anyone out there with expertise in converting games from flash to HTML5 that can advise me on how to proceed?

    Thanks,

    C

  • If you would like, I can try and check out the files for you. I still have Fusion 2.0 with the HTML5 and Flash exporters installed and some extensions installed. PM or email me the details and mfa files, and I can see if they open for me. If they do, I can try saving them as a Windows executable build version in 2.0, which you should then be able to open in either 2.0 or 2.5 and go from there with the modern extensions.

Please keep back up copies, because once you save in 2.5, you can not open in 2.0.

  • @ Xhadoe - thanks for the PM and the advice.

@ Phi - I did, but could not find one of the extensions that I originally used to create the game (I'll have to reload fusion later to find out which one).

Does Clickteam offer any conversion of SWF games to HTML5 on a paid basis for those of us a bit out of practice with MMF2 who don't want to upgrade to HTML5 and such?

I.e. is there a clickteam person whom people like me can pay to have games converted from flash to HTML5?

    Thanks again to all.
