Good library for graphical assets for prototyping?

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

  • In the past when I have been doing a prototype for a game or in early development I have often made extremely quick mockup graphics, sometimes even just boxes and cirkles for characters etc. I wonder if there exist some good places on the internet for free (or paid if good) grapical assets for characters and other things to use instead in prototyping? They would of course be just temporary but it could be nice to use nicer looking sprites during prototyping to get a better feel for the game when it also looks nice without work vs just really ugly 15sec art or boxes and circles.

  • I know you said graphical but if you're also after sound effects (either as placeholders, to expand your sound library or even in the final game) sonniss has released a bunch of royalty free sound libraries too

They used to release a library every GDC, but they seemed to have stopped releasing new ones in 2021
