A-Z of Click #1: A is for Active Object

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

  • Check out the inaugural article of my A-Z of Click series for a celebration of Click games, developers and trivia that start with the letter 'a'. This issue has a special focus on charting the history of the Active Object from its early days of Klik & Play all the way through to the modern day.

It's available at The Daily Click via Please login to see this link.

  • Nice article. Maybe (or maybe not) an interesting side note, I supplied the bevelled effect active object and some of the other updated objects including the colourful version of the background object picture.

  • Popcorn:[b] It was fun making that group HWA demo with you (and getting the opportunity to meet you in person rather than just chatting over ICQ and on the Code-it forums etc). That demo was reported at The Daily Click via Please login to see this link. and on the Clickteam Forums at Please login to see this link.

I also have of photos from the event (mostly from you actually) and the original HWA demo we made if you need a copy.

Paul Boland (RIP) did a good write-up about CC07 at Please login to see this link.

I'm planning to talk more about the Click Conventions when we get to 'C' in the alphabet, so if you (or anyone else) want to share any memories/retrospectives of going to a Click Convention then let me know.

[b]AndyH: I find that interesting indeed. Thank you for your contributions :)
