Build 294.1 - Beta version

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

Clickteam.
  • Hello, can you add in the update an option for animations in events for Active "enable and disable the repetition of animations", where you can also configure the number of repetitions if you enable the repetition?

  • --"Are you sure you want to delete the selected object(s)?" is cut off in this error message:

Please login to see this picture.

--The below example is a little nonsensical (even if it worked as expected the [Pick closest...] condition would just pick itself, so would be pointless). But still, something seems not right. Why does one event trigger, but not the other?

I'm sure it's because it's just a selector, so if your action doesn't use the selected object, nothing happens.

  • If possible, please add an Apply button to the Preferences window. It's currently somewhat inconvenient to test the varies settings where we need to re-open the window from the Tools menu to tweak things.

    Thanks in advanced!

I've never known Fusion to work like that. If the conditions pass, it simply runs the actions, no matter what's in them. Do you have an example where it doesn't do it this way?

In the above examples, if we switch actions, then this event still doesn't work:

and this one still works (it ends frame):

    This one also works:

  • I see that posts still cannot be edited.

Before I'm posting anything else in terms of possible changes, apart from technical problems that should be posted here, in this thread also opened for suggestions to make the next build better like my previous post above?

    Kindly let me know. Thanks

  • I have found some minor issues, would you want me to post them here or put future reports somewhere else?

The label "Number of backup..." on the General preferences is cut off when hovering over the Autobackup label. This on a high DPI screen where I have set the display scale to 175%.

Please login to see this attachment.

It might be connected to this scale setting for my display, but is it possible for the colour picker to be made larger? Not obvious in this screenshot but the colour picker pop up box is very small, maybe 2.5 cm wide at most.

yeah, my text size @125% did same, at 124% for me its just fine. maybe the preference window can be expanded to counter this

Can't reproduce, both lines work for me. Could you upload this example please?

  • What would you use this option for?

I often use Backdrops as Obstacles and put them in the background. When I test the game, the only way not to show these 'bakcdrop obstacles' is to make them invisible with the Blend coefficient. If there were an option to make them invisible at the beginning, it would be easier to manage them.

Ah, I see the problem now. It looks like the default hotspots of newly created objects have changed from top-left to centre, which I didn't realise. I've only ever seen newly created objects have hotspots of 0,0 so I assumed that if they were at Y=100 on the Frame Editor, then their hotspots were at Y=100 too. But actually the hotspots were at 15,15, so the objects were actually at Y=115, causing the first event to not run.

  • @waw_demmon again, you're using it wrong, this should help you visualize what you're doing:

Please login to see this attachment.

But I see what you were going for, sure it would be useful to have something like this, but for Actives:

Please login to see this picture.

But if that was the case, it wouldn't be done from inside another unrelated object like you did here:

Please login to see this picture.

    The event above means:
Is ANY part of Active not overlapping obstacle if its position where half its size bellow?
(Your hotspot is at the middle, so Y Bottom - Hotspot = half the object size, since this is related to the object position, Y position + half the object size

It would be something more like this, checking from within the active that you're checking if a point is overlapping:

    Code
Active icon: X,Y is overlapping Active

So this way it would check for a point inside a single object, which is what you're going for.
BUT, I believe if that was a feature, I'm pretty sure that wouldn't work for multiple instances without a For Each loop!

  • Now that you've got custom icons displaying in the Frame Editor for strings and hidden counters, would it be possible to do it for extensions too? For example, I have 4 INI++ objects in my frame (each object manages a different INI file). I've given them custom icons so I can tell them apart in the events, but they use their original identical icons in the Frame Editor.

  • Like Volnaiskra I'm also getting plenty more crashes using the Find All feature, specially after using the app for a while, saving etc. I have no concrete example to reproduce, but its been happening frequently, just thought I'd report it.

Just fixed it for the next update, no need to search for a concrete example anymore, thanks :)

  • I'm not a huge fan of transitions, mostly because it pauses the entire frame when their happening, would be possible to add a "Freeze the app while happening" toggle?
Been working with this project and got it with lots of transitions, had to replace all that with custom ones because of the freeze lol
