Build 294.4 - Beta version

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

  • Hello,

The build 294.4 is available in the Please login to see this link.. Testers are welcome!

EDIT: this version is on Steam too. As usual if you want to install this beta version you need to suscribe to betas in the properties of Fusion 2.5 in the Steam client, using the code provided in the Please login to see this link. thread in the Steam forum.

ASD, take a look at the new option in the preferences, "Add to font size". I think that if you set it to -8 this will fix the issue you reported with the system font you use. Let me know.

    Notes:

    - Please login to see this link. that highlights the new features of the build 294.

    - some changes affect the content of MFA files so make backup copies of your MFA files before loading them with this version.

    - MFA files are still compatible with previous builds (though if you load and re-save them with a previous version, you'll lose value order, included frame index, etc).

    - there is a known issue in the Transition Setup dialog box, parameter controls do not use the current skin, not sure if this one will be fixed.

If any question or issue specific to this build, please post it here, thanks!

In case of problem you can reinstall any other version (no need to uninstall first, just reinstall the patch of the build you want to reinstall).

PS: the CF 2.5 patch updates all the installed exporters, as well as the 2.5+ DLC, you do not need to reinstall them.

    Thanks!

  • Seems like you also improved the Event Explorer now, as you did with the Workspace Toolbar 👍

    - Preferences: new "Ctrl+drag: duplicate objects to original layer" option in Frame Editor preferences (ON by default).

Seems to work well. This is such a QoL improvement for me :D

When certain expressions are very long, they are cut off in the Event List Editor. They still work fine, and are visible in their entirety in the Expression Editor (shown below). This happened with 293 too. It doesn't actually bother me, but I noticed that the expression is also truncated in the same way in the Export As Text Events.txt, so the file would no longer be completely accurate.

  • Thanks! not specific to this beta but you can't seem to zoom in or out while editing a path or while creating an object, the frame must be zoomed in or out beforehand

  • I just noticed that when dragging an object from one frame editor to another (different frames), the new copies appear on the currently selected layer, not the original layer(s). Maybe that's on purpose, but figured I'd mention it.

  • or while creating an object

Actually that works sorry for the confusion (tried to zoom in with the mouse wheel and it works), but the path doesn't seem to work, I try to zoom in/out normally with the mouse wheel like I normally do in the frame editor but nothing happens
Ctrl + '+'/'-' shortcut doesn't seem to do anything for me on any editor (my laptop doesn't have a full keyboard with a numpad so maybe it works only with that)

Yes you need a numpad... I'll check why the mousewheel doesn't work.

On my PC, when creating an object, zooming works with the scrollwheel, and it works with the hardcoded keys of ctrl-numpad-plus and ctrl-numpad-minus, but doesn't work with the 'normal' (number-row) ctrl-plus/minus, or with any custom hotkeys you've defined for Zoom In or Zoom Out (those all work in the normal Frame Editor, just not during the Create Object process)

  • Pop-up UI doesn't have transition animation as before, and the UI is slightly laggy than 293:

Menu separator is un-readable in default dark mode:

Some text, especially in buttons, is still cut by ... even if add font size is set to 0:

  • Also, can we have something like "save workspace"? For example, visual studio, will remember which tab you opened, then restore it when re-launching.
Can fusion also save the tabs opened of a mfa then restore it when re-open?

Besides, as we have tabs for editors, will we have tabs for action/condition params in the future? That is to say, if an action has 8 params, user can jump to the 8th one directly instead of pressing enter seven times first.

  • Picture editor; buttons seems fixed. but when you right click to Add a NEW animation, the menu doesnt stay up unless you hold your right mouse button down and then hover over the menu.
Normally, you'd just right click the area, and the menu would appear and stay until clicking off somewhere or selecting from menu.

  • Request for a new feature. Add the ability to rename standard animations such as "Idle", "Walk", "Run" and so on, as well as the ability to drag and drop these animations in places.

A new condition would also not hurt, thanks to which it will be possible to turn the repetition on and off for a specific animation, if turned on, it will also be possible to choose how many times to repeat.

You already reported this for the previous build, but I'm still unable to reproduce this problem, the menu doesn't close for me.

Ah, I can reproduce it when the picture editor is maximized and you right click in an empty space, for example the bottom of the list. Just right click on a text, I'll try to fix it in the next build.

PS: for info the next beta won't be before a couple of weeks.

  • DerPeniGot2001 the reason those can't be renamed is because those animations are special.
All movement related have code inside, so it switches to them when using built-in movements, appearing plays when created, disappearing plays when destroying...
If they just allow you to rename, it's possible that it would still trigger these automatic switches even if the animation is now meant for a completely different thing (cause it probably switches by index, not name).
It's also the reason you can't delete those, only hide.
So they would need to disable the code for that if the name changes, but idk if animation names are kept in built apps, so it probably wouldn't work...
