I was sure this was possible before (or on previous verisons of ANdroid OS), but now, each time i go back to a fusion app, background music from any music player is paused.
So nobody can play my games with their own music. Even if there is no music played in my game.
Any idea? Thanks.

How to allow music from third party app to be played while running a Fusion App?
Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.
A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.
Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

I don't think this ever worked with Fusion apps...

Android only allow one audio focus

So I guess you could allow music from external players, but mute the app, would that be possible? At least it's something...
I think it might be possible as well to load external files as a sample, correct? -
Even with no sounds, i can't play music from a third party app.. So if it's impossible, no problem.

I know, I was actually asking Fernando if he could add an option to mute the app to allow external players.

if it was possible because i created android games before and if i could do it

I created this game in click team fusion, and I never had a problem playing the internal music of the cell phone

Google has changed a bunch of stuff over the years. So much was possible on the old Android. Even using a Window via HTML to run the Android Camera. However, these days. Big Brother Google has removed so many awesome features that made Android popular to begin with. One was Internal Recording and numerous apps allowed to record. Now, only 1 can use the microphone and it has to be external recording. I have made apps play music from the cellphone in app, but I have not tried it recently. So it might be blocked by google now.

but if you download any current game you can do that

SO, we should be able to do the same then, it's a Fusion 2.5 limitation... Going to test this on a popular game to check.
I've tested with candy crush saga, and i can listen to some music while playing this game. I would love to know how to achieve this in my own game :o

You need to post those games here, many of them doesn't follow the audio focus rule, others are old, made when the focus rules was not implemented.

That is what I was trying to say. Google has made so many stupid rules and nonsense in Android, it is not funny.
Back in the Day, making Fusion games play music from my library was easy. I could hear the sound effects from my game, but also hear the playlist from my phone.
Nowadays though, Google keeps changing how things work and it is honestly going to ruin Android for everyone.
I.E. Microphone for only one app to use
Screenshots disabled unless you use hardwrae keys
Audio blocked unless allowed by the latest nonsense.

Merry Christmas !
I want to publish a game in one off-line market and they want me to find a way to enable playing background music , because that is what most of the customers have been doing (playing games while listening to music).Since this is not the Google Play Store - is there something I can do ?
-
Woo, this post is old and still no solution! My players are still asking to allow background music, and even if the game plays no sound, as soon as i launch my game, music is stoped...

I think you have an action for this in Android object or androidPlus object that is adressing this

Really? What is it? I checked both extensions and i see nothing regarding music or sounds... On iOS i use iOS+ to enable "sound from external apps".
Also, the android object help file is completely outdated...
