Build 294.10 - Release version

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

    General notes about build 294:

    - Please login to see this link. that highlights the new features of the build 294.

    - MFA files are still compatible with previous builds (though if you load and re-save them with a previous version, you'll lose value order, included frame index, etc).

    If any question or issue specific to this build, please post it here, thanks!

    In case of problem you can reinstall any other version (no need to uninstall first, just reinstall the patch of the build you want to reinstall).

    PS: the CF 2.5 patch updates all the installed exporters, as well as the 2.5+ DLC, you do not need to reinstall them.

  • Excellent. Those fixes all work, from what I can see, including the mouse selection/deselection issue, which I'm super pleased about because that was really messing with my flow. For some reason though, my Library Toolbar is completely blank now; I don't know if it's caused by the update or not.
    edit: I reset my Fusion settings with ctrl+shift, then reloaded my settings .tbs file, and now the Library problem has gone away.
    edit2: Customising the context menus doesn't seem to work. I can go to Customize>Menu>Context Menus and add/remove objects, but once I leave, the menus always have the default items. I don't know if this is a new issue as I've never tried it before.


    The only outstanding issues I can see are:

    -the instance value issue I've reported before (I've redescribed it visually below to make it clearer)
    -the Qualifer Editor has redraw bugs when you resize the window and/or horizontal divider, as the Animation Editor used to. This is a very minor issue of course, since it's a rarely used window with not much reason to resize it ( since its contents are always broadly the same).

  • I've problem with debugger... some parts are missings.

    I don't know if this is related, but for me the Library toolbar was completely empty in 294.10. When I reset Fusion to default settings (hold ctrl-shift while opening Fusion), and then re-imported my previously saved settings (View>Toolbars>Export/Import Settings), it fixed it. Maybe this would fix your debugger too?

    I don't think it would, resetting the toolbars with ctrl+shift doesn't reset the Debugger settings.

  • the bigger font is a turn for the worse; it now gets cut off - i dont know why 1 person requested that it was too small, & you changed it. my sight isnt the best and it was fine beforehand.

    Are you talking about the font in the controls in the picture editor? Can you post a screenshot? And what's the value in "Add to font size" in your Workspace preferences?

  • will post when i get home; i havent changed any settings from previous because it was fine beforehand. where i first noticed was i was gettings the RGB values from the color picker and the bottom of all the numbers are cut off/ under the editbox window

    Next updates will be beta versions of the build 295.

    EDIT: there is a little change compared with the initial version of the build 294.10, when you build a HTML5 project non-English texts didn't fit in the dialog box that asks you for the project name and directory. No need to redownload it if you use the English UI and/or if you don't build HTML5 apps.

    Amazing! Now everyone who has never tried the betas can now experience 294.

  • Any way to revert back to old ui icons?

    What icons are you talking about exactly? If it's toolbar/property icons, then no you can't, the new icons have a different format (to be able to resize them). If you are talking about icons in the event editor, you can either use the "Default (old)" skin, or copy the icons from this skin to the new one (Default) (or Dark (old) and Dark if you use the Dark theme).

  • Thanks Yves and Clickteam for all your hard work in the past couple of months to finally launch the first 294 stable release!

    It took longer than was expected since it first announced but it was worth waiting for, considering the amount of things that were improved and the amount of bugs that were fixed during the beta period.

    I'd like to thank everyone who participated in the beta testing to help Clickteam bring the engine we all love to a whole new level.

    Yeah the toolbar/property icons. Ideally it would be possible to just use old (legacy) UI but I guess you had reasons for not doing that, but is the new icon format compressed/locked ? I'll edit them myself if I have to but I really hope it's possible.

    I'm having lots of issues with the new UI it feels generally slower and more unresponsive.
    Most things feels like they take a couple of milliseconds more to execute and there's flickering on the UI elements (like it's refreshing) whenever you do something.
    Worst is going into the picture editor where the restore window/close buttons appear briefly in the middle of the status bar before getting in their correct place.

    This is still an unresolved issue for me.
    - Event list editor: pressing down arrow on a large event causes Fusion to scroll very slowly.
    and in general it feels more slugish to scroll thru events using the keyboard compared to old ui.

  • I agree that the UI feels a bit slower and less responsive than 293. Especially the increased delay when opening dialogs, which is really noticeable when you edit an action that opens several successive expression editors. I ended up 'solving' this by turning off "Animate windows when minimising and maximising" in Windows settings. It removes all such animations from the OS unfortunately, but at least Fusion is much snappier.

    Overall, it's been a terrific update though, and I'm very happy with it.

  • I don't know if it's a miss or if it was not ready for this version, but i still can't get the display name, build and version when creating an Xcode Project.

    This is not in this release. Since requires some changes during the building process will go in next beta to give opportunity to be tested.
