Build 294.10 - Release version

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

  • I'm not sure what's going on but I think that I found a crash bug when I try to launch my application - the top toolbar shows the "Stop" icon for 2 seconds but the application (not the engine) then crashes without even showing up.

    When I delete Event #84 the application runs without any problem.

    I'm working on a card board game and have the following things going on:

    1. "Card" objects, which are set with the "Group.Generic 1" qualifier; each of these card objects holds "Flag 0" which I named "Selected"; this flag is set to "OFF" at start.

    2. "Card Highlight" object which I have set to position on a given card that the user clicks on with the mouse; this object is invisible at start.

    3. A global value named "Input Delay" which comes to prevent "double-actions" in a single input from the user; when the value is 0 the game can accept input. When the value is 1 there's an every 0:00:05 condition that changes it back to 0.


    Event #82: When the user clicks on one of the "Group.Generic 1" qualifier objects + the global value "Input Delay" equals 0 -> toggle the "Selected" flag of "Group.Generic 1" (changing it to ON).

    Event #83: When the "Selected" flag of "Group.Generic 1" qualifier is ON -> set the "Card Highlight" object position to the position of the "Group.Generic 1" object and reappear the "Card Highlight" object.

    Event #84: When "Card Highlight" object is not overlapping "Group.Generic 1" -> set "Selected" flag to OFF and make the "Card Highlight" object invisible.

  • Build looks cool, but Kaspersky is hellbent that the mmf2u.exe is a trojan (UDS:Trojan.Win32.GenericML.xnet) and as such Kaspersky deletes the .exe everytime I try to run it.
    I'm also having problem launching the software from Steam even when Kaspersky is paused and Steam says "Clickteam Fusion access is denied (0x5)".
    I've got it running once, but it's kind of problematic as all CTF settings were reset, it seems, and also, Kaspersky quickly deleted the file as Kaspersky unpaused itself.

  • fwtep you can zoom with alt + scroll, I'm not sure if there's a way without scrolling (must work with gestures tho), but in some places it's possible to use - and + keys.

    Thanks! I never knew that! That's exactly what I need. (Well, maybe it'd be slightly better if it would remember the zoom, but that's OK.) And it does work on my laptop trackpad with two finger zoom (moving up and down, not pinch). Now if we could get the FFMPEG extension to be able to use hardware acceleration I'd be ultra happy.

  • I have a small suggestion for 295...
    Since some people didn't liked the new toolbar icons, and Yves said it's complicated because the new icons are vector or something...
    A user just noticed something, if you edit the skin info.ini style to -1, it brings up really old icons, so why not replacing those by the 293's icons and making it easier to get to this style by being an option on Main UI's Style?
    Also, I think it would be cool if we had something similar to Dark's icons, the monochromatic icons, but darker, meant to be used with light skins, cause not everyone likes the colorful icons...
    This way I guess it would please everyone lol

    Basically, if Clickteam replaces these ancient icons by the previous one from 293, people can switch to these easily, seems to be fully supported by the new UI library so why not...

    Edit: Although, seems like this hidden option causes a few color issues on scrollbars.

    No, there were issues due to something else that broke the mac runtime files for some reason, the fix will be in the build 295. If Fernando sent you a fix for this, just overwrite the files I'll in your data/runtime/Mac folder.

    Can you submit it as false positive to Kaspersky from the Kaspersky interface please? This would save time, I can't do it before middle of next week, thanks!

    Just a quick note because I forgot to mention - the crash I was having happened in the standalone version on my main workstation. I managed to bypass it last night by doing what I wanted to do in a different way.

    I'm currently trying to reproduce yesterday's crash in order to provide you with a mfa file, but I'm away from home so I can only use my Steam version on my laptop; I'm not able to reproduce the crash in the Steam version, though. Instead, I find that when I'm using a qualifier in the event editor the application sort of ignores some events and doesn't do what it should. When I disregard the qualifier altogether and refer to the actual object the application does what it should.

    Before asking you to spend time digging in a mfa file, I'd like to check things a little deeper by testing the application in both the standalone and Steam versions side by side. I'll do it this evening and report back.

    As of testing things on-the-go, is there a way to install the previous stable 293 release in Steam so I could test possible bug scenarios that I encounter with in 294? (I didn't use any of the 294 new features). Currently when I'm away from the standalone version at home and switch to Steam, if I encounter something that seems like a bug I can't tell if it's truly a bug because I no longer have access to the previous release to check if it didn't happen in 293.

  • Y'know I've seen a lot of people complain that their eyes will fall out or whatever.
    I don't even think the new default skin is bad, but I think it might be better to make the new dark skin default

  • I absolutely love the new UI, users who complain just didn’t get used to it yet
    I like both of the new themes, Default and Dark, the new Default skin looks really good, in my opinion it’s much better than Default (old), especially in event list editor, very clear (it’s more grey rather than white so it’s more comfortable and better looking in my opinion) also love the colorful icons of the toolbar, properties and general editor


    Dark is what I use the most, as it’s easy on the eyes and looks really stylish (I do however wish it was slightly less darker)

    Also, isn't Dark default when Windows it set to dark? I guess maybe this is a Windows 11 only thing, can't remember if 10 has a dark mode for explorer and others...


    Dark mode auto detection works in windows 10 yes, it also had dark mode support for explorer and some other apps aswell, and yeah it works for Fusion as in the first beta I tried, the engine launched with Dark skin by default because I also had Windows theme and it’s apps set to Dark mode

  • BUG: there is a bug on ios where the fullscreen antialias sometimes turns off if you do certain things like

    - minimise the game app and go onto camera app and then minimize the camera app and go back into the game

    - sometimes when recording a video of your game it triggers the antialias to switch off wen the recording starts

    it causes the lines on my game to go all jagged and ugly & i realized that all my recently updated apps now all have this problem, which they didn't have when i released them a few years ago,

    i don't know exactly what build version the bug started, and it's hard to pinpoint, coz there where no dates on the previous fusion build numbers XD

    it also doesn't seem to do it every time, but at least 50% of the time
