Build 294.10 - Release version

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

Clickteam.
  • I can't reproduce this, do you have an example? (perhaps it depends on the size of the object?)

I've done some more testing and can now reproduce it consistently. It happens on all sprites (both actives and backdrops) of all sizes. It happens both in maximed and small picture editor window.
However, I believe it only happens when you are zoomed in and scroll down.
You can see it in this video that when you scroll down, the top of the sprite get's "cut off" and this seems to cause the offset behavior. If you zoom out or scroll up it becomes normal again.

  • I've been able to optimize it, it's now almost as fast as in the build 293. Still a bit slower though, but to make it faster we would need to find another solution for creating icons displayed in the object list in the frame editor, this can't be done in a minor update. If you can, I suggest that you use folders in the frame editor object list, to reduce the number of objects displayed in this list.

Nice sounds promising! I have a lot of icons though and not a lot of folders in the frame editor (more in the event editor).

Is there any shortcut to close or open all folders in both the frame and event editor?

  • Yeah the editor is a bit slower for me compared to 293.10 but it definitely improved a lot since first betas that's for sure, now the difference very minimal

And maybe I'm not noticing it a lot since I have a heavily modified toolbar that cuts on a lot of buttons (but also introduces new ones so nothing is different really)

Though the expression editor is very slow sometimes, (it can get as slow as one edit resigtered every 2 seconds) never had this issue in 293.10, but it may just be my PC

  • Just a tiny UI suggestion. When the new create object at action asks for the layer to create the object at, it defaults to 0, even though the lowest allowable value is 1. Could it default to 1 instead?

  • This has probably been like this on older builds, but when you build an application, and save it overwriting the build (with same name etc) - and you since changed all the Game icons, the Icon doesnt get updated in the original folder - remaining what it was originally saved with (the program has updated and is the new file); moving the exe into another folder, copy pasting, sent to desktop etc, will update with the new icons.
Saving it as a different build name will make the new icon as its icon.

  • False positives
Packed exe built by Build 294.10 is mis-detected by Avast as "Win32:Malware-gen". Non-packed exe does not cause this problem.

I have downgraded to previous versions and found that exe's built with Build 294.7 or earlier are not false positives. What are these differences?

This is not a Fusion issue, it's a Windows icon cache issue.
There is an API to force an icon refresh, but that's commonly used when altering file defaults, not simply overwriting a file...
Cause it may flash Windows/Explorer a few times and lose things like file selection, may even crash sometimes, so idk if that would be reliable.
But, you can perhaps force the refresh yourself.

I'm including a AutoHotKey script for that, both the source and the "compiled" EXE.

  • Shame that the version on steam doesnt work on linux via wine, but the one you download manually does work.

It's a shame because had that not been the case, this would have worked on steam decks. I have a steam deck and I can tell you it would probably sell more fusions if they were "playable" or "verified".

When I say the steam version doesnt work - what I mean is that playtesting doesnt work at all.

If you took some time to figure out why the steam verion's playtesting is borked with wine, but not if you install it - and fix that - maybe you could make this usable on a steam deck?

  • blurymind it doesn't work because of its DRM, it can't tell if it's running from real Steam or a fake emulated one...
They can't remove that, specially since that's the only thing that stopped piracy, which only happens with Steam versions...
Perhaps they could figure a way to tell if it's running from Proton, but I don't think Clickteam can get a Steam Deck just for this...

  • Is the Latest Version Of MMF2.5DEV 294.10, supposed to be so ugly looking?
The old Version was Clean and Beautiful.
    This new one looks Horrible.
    Graphics are Blurry looking Honestly.
Any Old Schemes that can be loaded into the new version to make it look like the Older one?

    Thanks in Advance...

That screenshot has been resized so I can't really tell which parts are blurry - but I had the opposite. 293 and below were blurry (because windows was upscaling them 125% so they wouldn't be too small on my monitor) but 294 is a lot sharper for me since it's DPI aware now, might be worth seeing what your scaling is set to for the application

edit: there's also Please login to see this link. which goes through reverting some of the graphics back to the old ones
