New Extensions Slow Down

Actually lots of extensions have been released or are under development from last year to now.
It started to get relevant again with more devs joining in, it's more active now than a few years ago for sure...
You can find many extensions on Github, most are open source even!
The Japanese community is also pretty active at extension development but not very known.

Any extension ideas? Lets make this thread about extension ideas then

It will be even more active if Yves documents the hwa and sound part, release filter SDK, and give ability to modify hwa textures instead of convert to bitmap first like give the access to swap chain, I bet the develop will be more active.
It's fun to read Android & iOS code then try port back to windows, guess how a function works, or open memory window, read bytes to guess how data is stored (just joking>:))

Just one guy Japanese community has released 29 extensions...
defisym has about 14 new extensions
There's a Noise extension that was released on manager
I've released a fork for Ultimate Fullscreen, I'm also working on PerfectDisplay, HiddenProperties, added a pause for Flocking object.
I have many other extension projects, I just don't have much free time for it... Hence why I've made a Patreon account.

Honestly I wish the guys that made the OpenGL extensions make it open source...

Fact is that the forum, specially those sections, aren't that active.
Most of the actual development happens on Github and gets discussed on ClickConverse discord server, or even foreign ones like the one from the Japanese community.

People who make new extensions should add them to the official extension manager. They don't help many people if they just sit as forks on github somewhere. Most users won't find out about them, and of those who do, many will be too intimidated or put off to install them.

What's with the weird asterisks by the way ***anese comm***** do***ented? To block the word un!ty is insane. To block it even when it's inside a totally different word like commun!ty is idiotic. Sorry to whoever is responsible for this, but it really is.

Using Github can let you push small fixes and keep others up-to-date easily, using forum is something like traditional software distribution, update once or twice per year, which means you have to wait or trying to byp*** something not at yout end. It's a frustration as the author may have left forum and extension will never be updated. For github you can fork it, fix it then send a PR as soon as you noticed the issue. It only pauses your flow but won't terminate it. For example, the ten-year-old steamworks, 9 slice only update internal data during handle routine which means you cannot retrieve changed size until next frame, path find crashes when you erase then update map during one frame, etc.
Talking about CEM...*sigh*, upload is not something hard, but you need to contact clickteam to update it then wait for approval (just like the of clickstore), then it comes back to the point I just said above...

This process is usualy fast, it's handled by Nico and won't take more than a day or 2 I think. Please send your extensions to the extension manager as Volnaiskra says, this is much, much easier for users.[/QUOTE]

Thank goodness. Any autofilter that doesn't let you write normal words like comm*****, p***word, or do***entation is a piece of **** X)

I don't think the new quote styling is very good either. You can't easily see what's the quote and what's the reply.

EDIT: You know what's particularly ridiculous? You can no longer even post a working URL to the forums themselves, because they contain the dreaded word :O inside them. And it seems to have been applied retroactively. So from what I can see, basically every link to another thread that's ever been posted on the forum is now broken...
