Problems with application icon

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

  • Hello everyone!

I'm having this problem happening to me recently:
In Fusion, usually I put in the Icon Editor a custom icon in the resolutions avaliable. The custom icon shows normally inside Fusion, Windows Explorer and Task Bar.

But, when I put the game in my desktop, shows the default application icon instead. I've tried to restart my computer and build the apllication again. :(
Anyone knows what is causing this? I'm using Windows 10 and Clickteam Fusion 2.5 Build R294.14

    Thanks for attention! :)

  • Before you added in the custom icon, did you ever build the application to the same folder with the default icon? It was possibly windows just using a cached version of the old icon for that location. Glad to hear it sorted itself out after a restart

Yep, that will do it. I typically just dump my cached Icons if I make a Windows app. Simply because I always forget to make the Icon First and Windows grabs the Default Fusion one and sticks with it if I build a Test .exe.
Restarting the Computer completely tends to fix the issue too. Not Hibernate!

  • The Windows icon cache works very simple, it uses the same icon for a file with same name in the same place. So if you rename or move your file, you will see the actual uncached icon - or you reboot your system or use one tweaks to delete the icon cache: Please login to see this link.

My wish to Microsoft would be to base caching on file size as well.
