Player is getting close to window's edge issue (Click Fusion 2.5)

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

After taking a LOOONG break from KNP. I'm back testing things with Click Fusion 2.5.. and something basic that used to work is no longer working. When player is close to edge and I have the player movement set to stop.. the player still drives through the edge as shown in video above. Is there a better way to do this now? If I do bounce it works. but I'd rather the player stop than bounce. Thanks.

Welcome back, that was quite the break! Assuming that you are using one of the built-in movements (like 8 direction movement), you can just check for when the object leaves the play area (New Condition -> YOUR_OBJECT -> Position -> Test position of "YOUR OBJECT") and tell it's movement to either stop (Movement -> Stop) or bounce (Movement -> Bounce). I've attached an example with some screenshots.

If you have any more questions, please don't hesitate to ask :)

  • A-ha! That was it! Just a different way of doing the same thing. The other way I found is to put a backdrop obstacle just outside of the play area but that takes a little more time. Thank you!

Don't forget though that Rotating objects or objects with animations can still escape using this feature. Attach a Square to your animation if using the help above. Use the square to stop the player instead.
Racecar Movement will let you wiggle right past fusions code for edges.
