Build 295.10 - Release Version

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

  • the objects im referencing are in every frame- maybe not all in first frame if thats what you meant... i see those in the first frame are being referenced, but not others... i can drag them into frame 1 and check [ok] i see that works

Like I said, it reads objects' altVals from the "base frame", which I guess is frame 1 by default. But you can change it to whichever frame you want.

  • When you double-click an object’s icon to change it to a different type, the condition is not detected by the filter. For example, Active Pictures can be changed to Active Objects, Strings, or Counters. Strings and Counters can also be interchanged.

Although it is possible to find these conditions by searching, it is undoubtedly a troublesome issue. This could easily lead to hidden bugs that are difficult to discover.

I’ve uploaded a reference video to YouTube, so please check it. Thank you.

  • I hope it's okay messaging you here, but I've been looking for you for so long! I've been trying to find your game, Gridquest for years, I had so much fun playing it growing up and I think you are so talented. Sadly, the links here are all dead: Please login to see this link. I saw that "Del Duio" made a 3.0 version of your game, and even reached out to him, who was kind enough to send me a version via dropbox, but sadly the game just runs with a black screen. Do you still have a copy of this game? I would LOVE to play it again!!

Hey glad to hear someone remembers that game. Yeah I see you can't do a PM here so might as well post in this thread even though its not really the proper spot- I dug up some old builds of Gridquest, one windowed one full screen. I'm not sure if you'll need any of the old .dll files games factory used, but let me know if this runs for you- I could always try to recompile it from old code. And as long as I'm at it, or if anyone else randomly reading this thread is interested, the first link is my old game GridQuest, the second link is a demo of a more ambitious project I'm working on at the moment, you might notice a slight difference in quality between the two. Both these are temp links that will break after some weeks from when this was posted

  • I noticed in theme editor I can put larger than legacy 32x32 icons for internal objects. Rendering was surprisingly nice everywhere the icons appear as you can see in my screenshots. It could be nice to add an option that allow to use larger icons on objects. Tiny legacy 32x32 icons aren't alway easy to understand quickly and I'm sur it should not be really complex to allow users create larger icons on objects.

I think it could be a great quality of live change.

  • yeah, of course you can rename them but I think it would be best for Fusion to act as if they do not exist! You have to declare them!! You should be made to name them!!

This is the stupidest thing I might have ever heard, if it works who cares
There are many times where i just want to use an alterable value without thinking about a name cause i only end up using A and B anyway

I think you did not understand what he means. It's absolutely NOT stupid.
Ex. You want to know what Alterable Value isn't in use, and as you did not declare any of them, all Alt values from A to Z are shown in the event editor and you can't retrieve wich one is used or not. If we had to "activate" them (press the ADD button in the properties object like for the AA and more values) you would exactly know what are the values used.

I would like to see the icons bigger too, but I think that is not possible because the icons of the objects are established when the extension has been created.Maybe they could add the option to rescale them from 32x32 to 64x64.

    That panel is from Volnaiskra

It would be nice to have a secondary panel like this for the Fusion debugger, where you can see only the variables that you indicate and not the entire object.

  • IF there is one thing I would love to see in an upcoming release, it is a functional undo/redo, with an undo/redo action list, and with an option to jump to where the change was made

Some specific improvements that would be nice:

    • Saving MFA doesn't wipe undo history
    • Switching editors doesn't wipe undo history
    • When you delete a group and activate group & deactivate group actions are automatically deleted, and then you undo the deletion of the group, those actions should be undeleted too.
    • Changing properties of objects (eg. rename, check visible at start, etc.) to also be undoable.
    • If you have multiple editors open, undoing affects them globally, rather than only working on the currently active editor.

  • I beta tested a few private versions of Firefly with bugfixes and were submitted by the developer 1 year ago on december to be updated, with fixes to materials and some of the big memory leaks, why is it not out yet? It didn't break anything and the public could really use the fixes.

This video is over a year old now and the public's recieved nothing from it, even though there's supposedly builds ready for release
