Fusion 3 blog any time soon?

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

  • Hey, so first I really hope this doesn't get removed, not trying to invoke a fight by any means, just only asking about the state of the engine.
So I don't usually ask about F3 too much, but after seeing another FNaF fan game not even made in Fusion showcased on the main channel for the company to publish and port kinda made me and other community members a bit concerned about F3, especially that the last time development was paused was due to a slew FNaF games being ported to other runtimes...

I don't say it must come soon or even asking for an estimated release date, but would be very reassuring if we get a new blog, just showcasing some of the features F3 runtime and or editor now have, even if it's "boring" stuff like how the nucleus runtime internally handles some things, anything would do a big impact especially now as lack of communication really hurts

Also I think hosting a crowdfunding campaign would help fund F3, I personally might participate if it were to ever be hosted :)

  • It has become painfully obvious that there is no Fusion3 coming anytime soon! In 2024 it'll be 11 years waiting! I've always been positive but with the last YT post with a FNAF games being ported using another engine.... Frustrating for us that want to hear about F3 and aren't particularly interested in FNAF fanverse! It would be nice to hear F3 news.

  • F3 blog should restart very soon, fingers crossed, another dev has been hired earlier this year and this has speeded it up significantly. The schedule is currently being updated and the blog should restart when it's done. PS: the other games we are publishing / busy with are not only FNAF!

  • Thanks for that update Yves. I really enjoyed hearing about F2.5+ and Build 294 before they were released (and am making good use of the features that were introduced), and I look forward to hearing more about Fusion 3 and how it will take everything to the next level.

  • I agree! I hope that it can do at least parent and child frames, where the child frames would use the events from the parent frame. I also hope that it can do screen zooming, screen rotation, and split screens. I am thinking even of each object having more than one action point as well as more than one collision box. Now, I wonder when will we see the blog....

I think its crazy fusion 2.5 doesn't even let you edit layer effects in the event editor! So thats on the wishlist for me ;D

  • Is that in base version (or developer) or a 2.5+ feature?

I believe it's 2.5+ only. Though if you spend any serious time with Fusion, you owe it to yourself to get 2.5+ IMO. It makes it a much better program in many ways.

  • Rather than frames and subframes, I think F3 should use Event Sheets.. so you just add the event sheets you need for each frame, so events are not locked to certain frame anymore.. kind of like script files work in most other game dev tools. Just my two ;)

  • Did you miss the new Include Frame option in Fusion 2.5?

I'm finding Include Frame very useful. It has a bit of a quirk but still very useful. I was thinking with Fusion 3 the layers must work very different to 2.5? Would be so cool to designate a layer like MENU LAYER to be global and just bring that layer (and all it's objects) into any frame by simply creating a new layer with name MENU LAYER. Not to mention sublayers!

Come on Yves!!!! We are ready for some Fusion 3 news!! The idea of a new Fusion written from the ground up... Very exciting!!

Don't we essentially have that functionality already with behaviours?
