Wargame Map Object shortest path

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

  • Hi, I'm in the research phase of starting a new fusion project (strategy rpg). I've made a few games already in the past but this is the first time I'm taking a proper look at the Wargame Map Object, which seemed at first glance as a great starting point since I'm keen on using hexmaps. First hurdle was that the grid was rotated 90 degrees from what I prefer, but with help from an old post from CruddyBuddy I managed to flip it and I thought I had gotten everything properly working as I wanted until I started to notice plotted paths not actually finding the shortest route on open maps (not a lot of obstacles). I even opened one of the examples that come with the object, and after removing a few of the obstacles from the map I can reproduce the (apparent) defect in there as well (see attached screenshot). So my question is; has anyone here any successful experience with the Wargame Map object and am I missing something obvious? Is this a known bug, or any tips on workarounds?
