Recovering SWF Exporter project

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

  • I am trying to recover a project of mine created a long time ago using the SWF Exporter. However, I no longer have the original email from purchasing the exporter and there seems to be no way of repurchasing it or installing it in some other way.

This game is part of a long legacy of indie games (the Lands of Dream series, of which The Sea Will Claim Everything is the best-known) and I want to make it available again as part of a collection. It would be a shame if that was impossible just because of the exporter.

Is there some way I can recover this project? I just need a way of opening the project file so I can remove the SWF stuff.

  • I have, that hasn't helped as my order of the exporter was too long ago and apparently the unlock code can't be recovered. I was wondering if anyone had any other ideas.

I was thinking more of asking them to help remove the relevant objects from the MFA, assuming you have that.

    Edit

But also, your passport seems to be tagged with the Flash exporter...

  • It is, yes. But I don't have the activation code anymore and they can't generate a new one, and neither can you buy it again. Seems like a bit of a catch-22.

I'll try asking if they have a way of removing the SWF object, maybe they can do that. Thanks!

  • I still have an active 2.0 Dev version w/SWF exporter, you are welcome to DM/email me a link and I can open the mfa and re-save it if you need.
