When will the clickstore be online again?

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

Clickteam.
  • Well, hopes that store won't be down for good like the bug box, which still not back online since last maintaince in 2017. Now, for issues, you have to post in release thread and cross your fingers, sometimes developer won't see it or won't see your reply.

And, the forum costs about a month to get back then another month to fix the access denied, don't need to mention it was locked in 2021 or 2020 for update and reopened after one month because the update failed.

So many frustrating examples, as current website maintainer cannot satisfy users and often make services not usable for months, causes disappointment and displeasure, even economy damage and discredit to clickteam, why not just fire him then hire someone more qualified, who at least won't let the important service down for this unacceptable long.

When it comes to the actual Fusion 2.5 product, I think Clickteam's communication is generally very good. We get regular updates with detailed changelogs, most significant bugs that get reported usually get responded to and/or dealt with (despite the bugbox being gone), and when Yves is around, he'll often offer honest ETAs on updates. When it comes to the website side of things, it's quite a different story, and I agree that the situation leaves a lot to be desired.

  • Well is about to have any way to keep us on the production way and many of us need help with engines or extensions and theres no news and just silence about the click store...

There's no other places to buy engines or extensions in my knowledge but almost on the follow link we can found not much but some good stuff:

I do agree this, but as a rookie extension developer I encountered several corner cases and not get reply of issues or of clarify to misunderstoods. And to Fusion event level, for example, my script based VN engine will trigger ordering issue, which is to say, bring object to front/back doesn't work in some corner cases, posted in 2022, and finally got reply in 2023, but "I'll check when I have time". Only obvious issues will be fixed quickly, something like the align, indent and alpha render issue of DX 11 string never get fixed (not exactly, indent of space of first line is fixed, but not the second line, however fix works for the third line, etc). Four years passed and I have to make my own text extension to make the render correct, and bring basic tag support, like font & color control, which are provided by default in ○○○○, etc. And the performance issue of complex shader in DX 11, change params will get a significant frame drop, reported in 2021 but not reply yet for now.

  • I hope they give us more news about this soon. Why was it down in the first place?

I wonder what is causing the delay is bringing the Clickstore about online. How hard can it be?.

For pity sake, can we at least be given some clue about this?

The forum radically changed this year. They're using a totally different platform for it. Everything looks totally different, and is clearly using a new codebase under the hood, possibly different servers etc. The forums were down for a month or so while they worked on these big changes, and then they were largely inoperable for another month or so after that while they ironed out some critical bugs.

It's reasonable to assume that after having migrated the forum to the new system, they're now migrating other web services such as the Clickstore. It's also reasonable to assume that this process will be a lengthy one, and that any ETAs you might hear from Clickteam staff are likely to be overly optimistic. Don't expect it to take days; expect it to take weeks, or probably months.

  • Well, support ticket in for over a month and no replies.

Would be nice to get the downloads I paid for but I guess it is to difficult to send them via a zip or rar package until the store is fixed or ever will be fixed. 😭

I honestly don't feel like teaching myself android studio or unreal but it seems like that is the case.

Damn shame too because I do love fusion.

Don't be afraid to branch out and learn new things. Personally I feel that the time has come to move on from Fusion.

  • Well after many years of absence, this is a sad state of affairs - it feels like the end is nigh for Clickteam.

Fusion 3 is a laughing stock in the game making community, complete vapourware and even anything that eventually gets released is now hopelessly behind the curve.

Website down, passport 'coming this week - from 5 months ago', couldn't even find a download for the files I've bought previously and folks asking for any communication.

Support tickets unanswered and no one's home.

Inability to communicate has never been Clickteam's strength and ultimately it is what has killed them.... great shame though, they had a great product in the early days....

Even the patient community has given up and is moving away.

Moving on time - RIP Clickteam. ...

  • Of course it's not the end. That's just silly talk. Their communication has never been great, and it's always tended to be fragmented, with different individuals seemingly responsible for different communication avenues (Patreon, Discord, forum, social media, etc.)

For example, in my experience, the main staff member communicating on these forums has in recent years tended to be Yves. Yves is very helpful and responsive when he's on here, but his presence tends to be in waves: frequent posts for a few months followed by long absences.

I've actually learned to relish Yves' absences, because they typically signify that he's hard at work on a new update or similar. Usually what happens, in my observation at least, is that there's a long period of radio silence, then when eventually Yves resurfaces on the forum, a new update tends to be around the corner. Then Yves is around for a few months while the update goes through iterations of user feedback and bug fixes. Eventually the bugs are ironed out and the public release version is released, then Yves tends to disappear for a while again. Like I said, I welcome this radio silence because it usually means that some solid development work is being done..

Yves mainly communicates regarding the core Fusion product. The responsibility for communicating about peripheral matters like the forum or the clickstore seems to lie with other individuals, and needless to say, those other individuals have done a lousy job of it. They dropped a buggy new forum, whisked away the clickstore, and promptly vanished into thin air.

But think about it: what useful communication could anyone actually offer you? What questions do you have about the clickstore that you don't already have the answers to? If your question is when will the clickstore be ready? then you need to realise that you already know the answer, which is: it will take a long time - longer than you think - longer than any estimate Clickteam might give you because history shows that any such estimate is likely to be overly optimistic.

Since we already know the answer, re-asking the same question on these threads every week isn't going to help much.
