Is there a virus in my game???

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

  • I don't know how to speak English :D

    HISTORY:
Here's the thing, for some reason, trying to make a game that would have a jumpscare at the end with the aim of scaring and crashing the game, I can't somehow deliver it to a friend, I put it on the drive and Google doesn't allow it, when I put it on mediafire and when they download it, the antivirus won't let it go, I don't understand. Is there any way to let the computer understand that the application is not a virus?

    SUMMARY:
I create the game the way I want and the antivirus prevents me from being happy, saying that my game is a virus, is there any way to solve this?

Any English error is Google's fault.

  • For context on what Unpacked EXE does:

When you build as Unpacked EXE, it unpacks all of the DLLs (Like extensions and Direct3D dlls) into the modules folder (which you can rename before building in App properties) + the main .dat file in the same directory as your built EXE..
.dat file contains the actual data of the application, like the different assets, events, binary data, etc. While the EXE will just import all of the DLLs upon launch, hence why it's very small in size.

Packing many DLLs into an executable makes many AVs annoyed, so unpacking helps mitigate the false positives (but of course not 100% eliminate them)..
When uploading your apps to creditable sources like steam it greatly helps, and for the best possible mitigation is signing your app (which is costly by the way).
