Sound Over 'Different Frames' vs 'Multiple Frames'

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

  • Good day.

I would like to ask if anyone can give an example of playing sound over target frames, not just the Application/Runtime Options/Play Sounds over Frames.

For example, I have a Menu frame with it's own ambience track, that plays only on the frame 1 Menu. Fine.

Then on frame 2 I would have a new 'background ambience' track that play on frame 2,3,4,6,9. and it should play through at one time, and not restart at the beginning each time one of these new frames is opened.

Frames 5, 7 and 8 would have their own unique 'background ambience', that would restart when these frames are opened.

Also, at times say when visiting frame 6 from frame 5, the frame 5 audio bleeds into the frame 6, so that both tracks are now playing on the frame 6.

Using 1 channel for the one 'Play Sounds over Frames' could work and have the others on another channel.

And why would the audio from the last previous frame bleed into the the new frame?

How can it be directed to stopped?

NOTE: The mfa is very large. Posting it would not be possible.

  • i have a large project which does something similar. i need particular music to run over various frames and not other, using a different music.

what I did is: each frame i put a value at start of frame; called MUSICPLAYED = 1, etc, it is 1 for main theme, 2 for something else, 3 for something else etc.

in GLOBAL EVENTS, i have a music group which will play the music I need for the frame(s). thats the simple breakdown, i do mixing etc - which will just confuse the explaination.
