Anyone have a conceptual approach to Virtual Boy style VR games?

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

  • I was playing my Virtual Boy and it had me thinking that Clickteam Fusion could potentially produce those kinds of games if there was a decent way to do the side by side 3D that would be required to run it on something like a phone inside a google cardboard thing or on a meta quest or similar HMD.

    One thought I had is to use sub applications to represent each eye, but I'm not sure how I would make events occur simultaneously in each of them without running into weird issues. and I can't think of how to do it all in one frame because I need to produce the binocular vision effect.

    A game similar to Mario Clash would be fairly straight forward as the stage does not need to move, but for anything like a sidescroller I'm currently stumped. Though I still suspect it's possible.

    If anyone has any ideas, feel free to share them.
